So I am currently trying to write some more darkish kink bingo squares and could use some fun. So here's a meme:

1) It all started when I got blown away by an image of Steve as a drunk. At that point I had to actually figure how he got there and the idea of being lost and rudderless just hit me. But don't ask how they managed to catch Wo Fat. I have no idea.

2) Rachel initially came off as a bit more angry and bitter but my beta helped me dial that back and retool the conversation at dinner away from that. Thankfully.

3) I angsted continually over how to make this a getting together fic that didn't diminish the seriousness of depression. There was actually one point where I was afraid I would have to scrap the whole thing because I didn't want to put anything out there that would indicate that love could conquer all. That was when I realized Steve had to go back into the Navy. Until then nothing worked. And then I had to make him keep that decision even when Danny came around. That was the hard part. Not ending it too early.
