Comics Tony is actually really non-shallow - he dated Madam Masque, who's badly facially scarred - so I can definitely see Movie Tony taking the same view. Pretty people aren't uncommon at all - loving Tony Stark is a much rarer ability. ;)
You do a really good job of showing how defensive and insecure Steve is about this, and I just love how Tony reassures him in that half-insulting way which is so very him.
