shinysylverSo I've been working on this fic since Thursday that has completely taken over my life. I have been literally driven to write it and am getting close to the end and need a beta. I posted a beta request over at the beta comm but thought I would copy it over here too. Here is the post from the comm:
Title: Miles from Where You Are
Genre: future AU, angst, slash
Rating: R or NC-17 depending on how the end goes
Pairings or Characters: Steve/Danny, Rachel/Danny (Steve/Danny is the end game)
Type of beta you'd like: I'm looking for someone to take a look at the story plotting and writing. This is my first attempt at something quite like this and I'm afraid I am too close to it to see if it is working. Other than plotting I would like someone to look at the characterizations as they fit the AU as well as the flow of the story.
Length: Stand-alone - I'm at 5500 right now and expect it to be about 7000-9000 when its done.
Short Summary: Danny is remarried to Rachel and Steve is a drunken mess, nothing is working out the way it should.
Other Notes: This one gripped me last Thursday and wouldn't let go. I'm getting close to the end and really need someone to look at it with an objective eye. There are some dark themes and one scene involves vomiting if that bothers you.
If anyone here is willing to beta let me know. It'll probably be another day or two before its done. Midweek at the latest. Thanks in advance if anyone is willing!
