Staring Into the Abyss

Sharknado your faves or create your own hybrid force of nature. The choice is yours, and a Sharknado POP Vinyl figurine could be, too. Sharknado 4 will be released during the summer of 2016. Your moderators saw the news and thought: why stop there?

There are two avenues of participation in this challenge: Sharknado Your Faves or It’s Hailing Llamas. In the first, you bring the tried and true Sharknado to your favorite characters or world. In the second, you create your own mind-numbingly amazing force of nature and apply it at will.

Stories must be at least 1500 words. The challenge runs from 15 April 2016 to 30 June 2016. You have that long to complete and submit your story to the appropriate collection in order to be considered for the drawing.

Every story submitted will be counted as one entry into the drawing. Two winners will be chosen at random the end of the entry period. Multiple entries are allowed; if you want to Sharknado every fandom you’ve ever been in, we salute and welcome you, friend.

There’s a post on LJ that you can use as a place to brainstorm or chat about your stories, or to throw out ideas for others who might want to run with them. Go forth and Sharknado! Or Tarantusoon. Or Zombcano… you get the point.
