Is it time?
Dec. 10th, 2018 09:11 pmLiveJournal was my home for a years. I got a LiveJournal during college way back in 2002 or 2003 and I used it for both personal and fandom things for years. Over time as fandom drifted, so did I, but I kept my LiveJournal at least somewhat up to date with my fic if nothing else.
This year I finally cut the cord and stopped paying for an account (what do I need all those icons for anyway?) and the Tumblr exodus is making me reevaluate my fandom spaces. All of my fic posts to AO3 now and while I tend to post links on LiveJournal I haven't used it for much else in years. My biggest use of the platform has been for the Marvel Bang, but we are slowly moving that in a Dreamwidth direction as well.
I do miss journaling and actually writing about my thoughts--both personal and fandom related--so I have decided to brush off my Dreamwidth and actually try to use it as one of my primary spaces. At the moment I still plan to cross post to LiveJournal from Dreamwidth, but I don't think I am going to actively work on my LiveJournal any time soon.
We'll see how it goes, but it would be nice to start 2019 off with some actual postings instead of just lurking and ficcing. If you are on Dreamwidth please come and keep me company.
I've also just picked up a Pillowfort which I have high hopes for, but the infrastructure there still needs some bolstering and I can be patient.
